Belgian mezzo-soprano Linsey Coppens returns to the role of Tisbe in La Cenerentola with De Nederlandse Reisopera during the 2026/2027 season and makes both her role and house debut at La Monnaie / De Munt as the Nurse in Mussorgsky’s Boris Godunov. On the concert stage, she appears as the alto soloist in Mozart’s Requiem with the Residentie Orkest under the baton of Richard Egarr. Together with pianist Hans Adolfsen, she also premieres A Heartbeat Between Worlds, a new recital programme presented in Switzerland and the Netherlands.

Highlights of 2025/2026 included her house debut at Opéra de Lausanne as Ghita in Zemlinsky’s Der Zwerg, Suzuki in Madama Butterfly with Opera Compact, and covering the roles of Narratrice and Mère in Grey Filastine’s Ali at La Monnaie / De Munt. In the summer of 2026, she sang the title role in Clara, de neushoorn, a children’s opera co-produced by De Nederlandse Reisopera and Theater Sonnevanck. Her concert appearances included the alto solo in Carl Maria von Weber’s Missa Sancta No. 2 (“Jubelmesse”) with the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra and the Netherlands Radio Choir.

In the 2024/2025 season, Linsey made her debut at Staatstheater Nürnberg and Theater Aachen as Zweite Dame in Die Zauberflöte and her house debut at Opera Ballet Vlaanderen as Page in Salome, before performing as Tisbe in La Cenerentola at Stadttheater Klagenfurt. During the previous season, she made her house debut at Stadttheater Klagenfurt as Wellgunde in Götterdämmerung and sang Rosina in Il Barbiere di Siviglia at Theater Hagen. At Staatsoper Stuttgart, she appeared as Second Norn and Wellgunde in Götterdämmerung and made her role debut as Hänsel in Hänsel und Gretel.

From 2020 to 2023, Linsey was a member of the Opera Studio at Staatsoper Stuttgart, where she performed roles including Cherubino in Le Nozze di Figaro, Rosina in Il Barbiere di Siviglia, Siegrune in Die Walküre, Zweite Dame in Die Zauberflöte, Wellgunde in Götterdämmerung, Linetta in Prokofiev’s Die Liebe zu den drei Orangen, and Ozias in a staged production of Juditha Triumphans. During this time, she also appeared as a guest artist at Nationaltheater Mannheim as Siegrune in Die Walküre and at the Ruhrtriennale Festival as Violet/Mary in Olga Neuwirth’s Bählamms Fest.

As a concert soloist, Linsey’s repertoire includes Bach’s Hohe Messe, St. Matthew Passion, and Weihnachtsoratorium; Duruflé’s Requiem; Handel’s Messiah; Mozart’s Coronation Mass and Requiem; Rossini’s Stabat Mater and Petite Messe Solennelle; and Theodorakis’ Canto General. She also appears regularly in recital, collaborating with pianists Hans Adolfsen, Vlad Iftinca, and Aaron Wajnberg.

Linsey has received several prestigious awards, including the House of Music Hungary Prize at the 5th Éva Marton International Singing Competition and the Van Riemsdijk Prize at the 55th International Vocal Competition ’s-Hertogenbosch (Opera | Oratorio). She was a finalist at the 2024 Tenor Viñas Competition and the 2023 Voix Nouvelles Competition, and a semi-finalist at Operalia 2021, the 2023 Queen Elisabeth Competition, and the 2024 Sumi Jo International Singing Competition.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree from the Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp and a Master’s degree from the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami. She graduated from the Dutch National Opera Academy in Amsterdam in 2020.
