Italian Tenor Enrico Iviglia began the 2024 season with his role debut as Alfredo in La Traviata with the RAI Orchestra of Turin, conducted in concert by Michal Duris. Following this, he participated in Mozart’s Requiem in Milan with the Canova Chamber Orchestra and performed the role of Ernesto in Don Pasquale in Turin. A specialist in Rossini operas, Enrico recently celebrated his hundredth performance as Conte di Almaviva in Il Barbiere di Siviglia with Asti Lirica. In August, he will make his debut as Don Basilio in Le Nozze di Figaro in Verona.
Enrico’s most recent performances include Pang in Turandot at the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma and Pong at the Teatro Verdi in Trieste. In Germany, he sang Conte di Almaviva in Il Barbiere di Siviglia at the Stadttheater in Dessau, Giessen, and Würzburg.
A specialist in the Italian repertoire, particularly Rossini, Mozart, Donizetti, and Baroque opera, Enrico is establishing himself in prestigious theaters worldwide. His notable roles include Lindoro in L’Italiana in Algeri (Teatro alla Scala), Libenskof in Il Viaggio a Reims (Teatro Real in Madrid), and Conte di Almaviva in Il Barbiere di Siviglia (Bunkakaikan in Tokyo). He has been a frequent guest in numerous opera productions at the Teatro La Fenice in Venice, the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro, and the Donizetti Festival in Bergamo.
Of note is his debut in the role of Brunoro in Gazzaniga’s L’Isola d’Alcina in Oldenburg and Schwetzingen. The opera was subsequently recorded and released as a production CD by SONY.
Throughout his artistic journey, Enrico has collaborated with renowned conductors such as Alberto Zedda, Gianandrea Noseda, Donato Renzetti, and Roberto Abbado, as well as illustrious stage directors like Luca Ronconi, Pier Luigi Pizzi, and Damiano Michieletto.
